Q: What is Squad Guardian?

A: Squad Guardian is a Bot that identifies Cheaters immediately and automatically guarding your Squad Server from Cheaters.

Q: How does the Bot identify Cheaters?

A: The Bot checks voluntarily Shared Battlemetrics Ban Lists every minute for any new Bans. When the Bot identifies keywords like Cheater, Cheat, Hack, or Hacker, it will issue a new ban on Squad Guardian's Ban List specifically designated for Cheater Bans.

Q: How many Communities is Squad Guardian pulling from?

A: Squad Guardian is pulling from over 60 Shared Ban Lists (Communities) and counting.

Q: Is Squad Guardian associated with Community Ban List?

A: No.

Q: Does Squad Guardian's Bans get sync'd to Community Ban List?

A: No. Only the Community with the Original Cheater Ban can sync to the Community Ban List since CBL requires Bans to have happened on their own Server to sync them. Squad Guardian's Ban List is NOT sync'd to CBL.

Q: How does Squad Guardian immediately and automatically Guard Servers?

A: Squad Guardian checks for new Bans every minute. This means your Squad Server be automatically Guarded within a minute; that's as immediate as it can get. No waiting for the Original Banning Community's 3 Admins with access to OWI Hosting to post in Cheater Reports, no waiting for your Community's 3 Admins to read that channel and issue a manual Ban, no waiting for someone to create a ticket in your Discord because they're following the Cheater from Server to Server, no waiting period.

Q: Does Squad Guardian get historical Cheater Bans?

A: No. This is only new Cheater Bans issued from 11/14/2023 and on. Bans prior have not imported.

Q: How does Squad Guardian account for evidence?

A: Squad Guardian copies the Notes from the Original Ban and references them in the Guardian's Ban. It also leaves a link to the original Ban. If the Original Ban's Notes are updated after Squad Guardian pulls the Ban, it will be updated on the Guardian's Ban. Squad Guardian's Bans are audited as they come across to verify evidence backs up the automated Ban. If not, the Guardian Ban will be removed.

Q: How can Players Appeal a Squad Guardian Ban?

A: For Appeals, please vist our Discord. For a successful appeal, the Player should appeal the Ban from the Original Banning Community. That info is automatically provided once an Appeal is started.

Q: Can I exempt a Specific Player through Squad Guardian's Ban List?

A: Yes, find the Ban from Squad Guardian at https://www.battlemetrics.com/rcon/bans, then open the Ban Exemptions dropdown underneath the Notes, and checkbox your Organization.

Q: My Communities Cheater Bans are being pulled by Squad Guardian and I don't want them to be, what do I do?

A: If for some silly reason you don't want other Communities to immediately benefit when your admins Ban a Cheater in your Battlemetrics, DM @PSG - Ignis in Discord. Please provide which Community you're from.

Q: How do I make sure my Community's Battlemetrics Ban List is being read by Squad Guardian if I want it to be?

Q: How can my Community Benefit from Squad Guardian?

Q: How do I setup Squad Guardian's Ban List once I have the link from @PSG - Ignis?

A: Make sure you choose the Default Action of Kick when adding the Ban List to your Organization in Battlemetrics. This will automatically Kick anyone from your Server who is in this list, just as your everyday Ban List works.
